Tempo di Vacanza…Cannero Riviera

Lago Maggiore, Italy: Part II

Our next visit during our stay in Lago Maggiore was Cannero Riviera, Italy. Known for their gardens and citrus fruits’ harvests since the 1500’s, this little old village sits right on the lake shore of Maggiore. It offers spectacular views, great food and days of pure relaxation and enjoyment! Cannero also has its own Chiesa di San Giorgio, surrounded by its commune streets and neighbors. It even has its own Grotto!

Here are some pictures of the Chiesa…

We first went to meet up with some friends for lunch at the Ristorante Sano Banano, which served us amazing food! The atmosphere is very rustic yet charming with plenty of sitting inside or outside. I believe they also have a B&B Casa. Unfortunately, it is a separate entity which means that you wouldn’t be able to put all your expenses in one whole bill, if you were to stay there. Otherwise, I strongly recommend this Ristorante Italiano in Cannero Riviera!!!

We loved the food at Sano Banano so much that on our last day, we decided to had our last lunch there! Afterwards, we stroll down towards the shore of Lago Maggiore to walk and take pictures of its region.
