The largest city in Switzerland…Zürich!
I LOVE ZÜRICH 🙂
I’ve been to Zürich more than a few times. In fact, I’ve been to Zürich many many times, even if it was just for the train ride to get to the Central Station where I can shop their Underground Mall. It has everything you need! And on Wednesdays, they have the Farmer’s Market where a colossal array of vegetables, fruits, grains, cheeses and sausages are displayed for sale, (that’s my next post!). Yup, love Zürich (without the traffic, of course).
For me, Zürich it’s a small charming Town with plenty of Banking Giants to invest all of your Chi-Chings. They have lots of luxurious Boutiques to swank your Chi-Chings and went you’re done, relax at one of the many Cafés with an Espresso, (or a Mocha Latte with a shot of Espresso…they have about 4 Starbucks in Zürich, you know), accompanied by their finest Chocolates that Switzerland has to offer where you really need to spend your Chi-Ching!
But there’s more to Zürich than just the Shopping and sipping on a cup of mojo while watching the people stroll by. You definitely want to set aside some time to visit some of their Landmarks.
LANDESMUSEUM ZÜRICH (THE SWISS NATIONAL MUSEUM)
The Swiss National Museum has a compilation of Exhibitions, starting with prehistoric times all the way to the 20th Century. My favorite section? The Armoury Tower…very impressive!
THE FRAUMÜNSTER (MINSTER OF OUR LADY)
Today it belongs to the Swiss Reformed Church but back in 853, it was a convent used by the women of high society to provide support and honor the Kings.
THE GROSSMÜNSTER (THE GREAT MINSTER)
Climb up to one of the Twin Towers for breathtaking views of the city, the mountains and the lake of Zürich! Good place to take pictures with your friends and family…or your dog!

What can I say? I’ve been sold on Zürich since the first time I visited in 1997. If you haven’t been to Zürich, make sure you do during your stay in Switzerland. I think you will enjoy it too!
