“Prende la victrola”…my dad or mom would say that when they wanted to listen to their favorite eight-tracks, LPs, or the radio station, or just anything music, period. The stereo system was la victrola, the car radio was la victrola, the boom box was la victrola. We loved la victrola.
To honor them, of course I named this first post La Victrola. These (order of) songs listed below were played at a radio station in Switzerland, (and I have to say, Lionel Richie’s dancing on the ceiling got my bon-bons dancing on my carseat…wasn’t expecting that). As you can see, they don’t stick to one genre of songs, they pretty much play whatever they like. Also, they really like the 80’s. I just gave it away…yes, I love the 80’s. Anyways, they throw a lot of old and new music to give it a shuffle you know. I don’t hear the same hit song over and over and over again, in the SAME radio station. It hasn’t happened to me yet….so it’s awesome.

Another radio station played back to back these ones….criminal. I was like crashing my car into the bridge, I don’t care….then my mojo switched depressingly to Jonny Cash……but then again, “I don’t care, I love it”!!!!
